Paleo Peppermint Mocha

During the winter holidays, I love to sip a hot drink while I work or relax. It can be hard to find a good coffee or hot cocoa that complies with the paleo diet. I love creating my own holiday recipes, and I LOVE coffee, chocolate, and mint. So what better way to enjoy all three than to make a peppermint mocha?! Here is the recipe!

Paleo Peppermint Mocha

Macros: 3g protein, 24g carbs, 3g fat*

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup strongly-brewed coffee
  • 2/3 cup almond milk, Friendly Farms
  • 1 tbsp. raw honey
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder, Trader Joe’s Unsweetened
  • 3 drops food-grade peppermint essential oil

Directions


Warm the milk and coffee in a saucepan until steaming. Add all the ingredients, including the warmed coffee and milk, to a blender. Blend for 15-30 seconds to create a nice froth. Pour into your favorite mug, and enjoy!
