In response to the Instagram post I made on the Paleo Chocolate Banana Almond Joy Ice Cream, several of you asked what ice cream maker I recommend. So here’s my recommendation, and a short review! I hope you find it helpful!
My family has had the Cuisinart ICE-21 1.5 Quart Ice Cream maker for five years and counting. It holds up to one-and-a-half quarts, requires no ice cubes, and is small enough to fit in your cupboard. It’s easy and convenient to use, and at under $50, it’s also affordable. To demonstate, let me give you a step-by-step mini instruction guide!
One to two days before you want to make ice cream, wash the bowl and put it in the freezer. When you are ready to churn, remove the bowl from the freezer, secure it to the motor, stick in the paddle, slide on the top, turn on the motor, and pour your ice cream mixture into the bowl through a large opening in the top. Wait 10-30 minutes depending on the original temperature and volume of your mixture. The ice cream will thicken. When the ice cream is no longer moving in the bowl, turn the motor off, slide off the top, remove the paddle, and serve! When the bowl is empty, wash and dry it, and replace in the freezer. The next time you want to make ice cream, the bowl will be frozen and ready!
You can get the ice cream maker for under $50 on Amazon here: Cuisinart ICE-21 1.5 Quart.
I hope this review is helpful! Have fun on all your ice cream adventures!!
