Hi! My name is Elizabeth Squires. I am nineteen years old, and I have a life-long passion for health, fitness, and happiness. I am constantly researching and finding new ways to get and stay healthy, fit, and happy. I believe healthy eating, proper stress management, and an active lifestyle have the ability to change lives for the better. And I have experienced this for myself.
For approximately the first fifteen years of my life, I struggled with severe stomach aches. I finally figured out that I could avoid these stomach aches by avoiding gluten. I also realized that dairy made me feel lethargic, and corn and oats caused my skin to break out. And everyone knows that sugar is bad for them, and should be avoided as much as possible. I don’t avoid any of these foods completely, and will enjoy them on occasion. However, in my day-to-day life, I strive to eat as many real, whole foods as possible.
Although I started eating healthy in my early teens, I struggled with depression, poor body-image, and restriction/binge eating throughout my teen years. It’s been a long and painful journey, but through it all, I’ve learned so much about health, fitness, and happiness. I want to share what I’ve learned with you. I’ve heard it said that you find your purpose through your pain. That’s true for me. I know I’m not the only person that struggles with these things, and I want to use my blog and social media to help as many people become healthy, fit, and happy as I can! I’m still on this journey, but I’ve come a long ways. I want to share what I’ve learned with you, and bring you along on my journey to greater health, fitness, and happiness.
